The Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 is a 450-tonne mobile crane mounted on an eight-axle chassis, marketed as “The big fast-erecting crane!” due to its focus on quick and efficient setup. Its primary lifting tool is an 85-meter telescopic boom, which is the longest in its class according to the brochure’s cover. For additional reach and versatility, the crane can be equipped with a variety of lattice jibs, including a 7 to 35-meter swing-away jib (K), a 7 to 56-meter fixed lattice jib (F), and a 14 to 84-meter luffing lattice jib (N). The VarioBase® variable support base allows each outrigger to be extended to individual lengths, which is crucial for working in constricted areas.
